Please note you must read these terms and conditions before filling the skip. If you do not agree to abide by these terms and conditions, please call us and we will collect the skip before filling commences. A charge will apply for our time and costs.
Maximum length of hire is 10 days, after which an additional cost of £10.00 + VAT per day will apply. If you call us before 7 days we may extend time at our discretion depending on extra time needed.
Please make sure the correct waste goes in the skip which you have ordered i.e. general waste, hardcore only, soil only. You MUST NOT mix the waste as stipulated with a member of staff. If the waste is mixed, an additional fee of £50.00 + VAT will be charged.
Skips MUST NOT be overloaded. All waste must be level with the top of the skip, a feee pf £25.00 + VAT will be charged per square yard for any waste over this line and will automatically be charged to your card. We may also refuse to take the skip away until extra waste has been removed (due to safety reasons). A £25.00 wasted journey charge will also be automatically implemented.
Damage to skips including fire damage may result in a charge to you for a new skip.
ABSS Waste Management Ltd WILL NOT be held responsible for any additional waste left in unattended skips e.g. fly tipping.
Placing of the skip and its positioning is determined by our very experienced drivers. Any placement AGAINST our advice, including lifting over fences and walls is at YOUR OWN RISK. We WILL NOT be held responsible for any damage to your property.
We DO NOT take any waste deemed as hazardous under any circumstances. If any of the following items listed are found in your skip, they will be returned to you and additional charges will apply.
These are some items deemed hazardous:
ASBESTOS, PAINT, FUEL, OIL, TYRES, PLASTERBOARD, CHEMICALS OR ANY SUCH WASTE DEEMED UNSAFE TO HANDLE.
Electrical goods such as televisions, fridges, freezers, computers and microwaves are also classed as hazardous waste.
You MUST NOT pour wet cement or concrete into our skips. This is likely to cause a vast amount of damage and may result in a charge to you for a new skip.
No tree trunks or large sections of trees to be placed in our skips, i.e. if it cannot be lifted by one person, it's too large.
If you decide you no longer need a skip before it is delivered, there is a cancellation charge of £12 incl. VAT and £25 incl. VAT if less than 24 hours before delivery.
